====== Social Presence ======
  * 사회적 실재감 = 커뮤니케이션 상대의 현저성(salience)에 관한 대화자의 주관적이고 심리적인 느낌을 의미
  * 커뮤니케이션 매체에서 이용 가능한 __감각 채널이나 코드__가 적을수록 소통하고 있는 대화자의 __사회적 실재감__이 낮아짐
  * 매체의 특징 = 즉, 전달할 수 있는 커뮤니케이션 단서의 양에 따라 사회적실제감이 영향을 받게 됨
  * F2F에 비해서 얼굴표정이나 시선과 같은 시청각적 단서가 부재한 CMC하에서는 대화하고 있는 상대의 실재감이 약화되며, 메시지는 감정이 결여되기 쉽고 친밀감이 형성되기 어렵다고 주장 

  * Degree to which we as individuals perceive another as a real person and any interaction between the two as a relationship
  * Different media convey different degrees of perceived substance to an interaction
  * Internet not functional alternative to FtF – rather specialized channel
  * People prefer FtF to meet most communication needs
